It has been a great a week for us first. First, we had an ultrasound on Monday and it looks like we are having a baby BOY. He looks great, we even got a shot of him
sucking his thumb. Kenzie was pretty bummed at the ultrasound but by later that
night she was okay with it. Andy seemed happy but I ma not sure he really cares all that much. Greg and I are just happy he looks good and healthy.
Hawaii was great. We has such a good time and I really enjoyed a week where I had nothing to do but lay around and eat good food. Phyllis managed to survive a week with the kids, we are so grateful she could come!!!! Here are a few highlights from the trip
2/17, Tuesday: We left early from Detroit. We did a bunch of airport hoping. Until we arrived in Kauai at about 5:30 in the evening (that is 10:30 pm Ohio time) We where pretty tired but man it was so warm. We got to our hotel and ordered some room service, which we ate on the Balcony. We stayed at the Marriot Resort, it was a very nice hotel.
2/18 Wednesday: Greg had to get up early to be down to his conference (for those of you who didn’t know, we went so Greg could attend an ER conference. The company he works for paid for everything but my airline ticket and food which is why we went on the trip) I slept until I felt like getting out of bed Greg finished everyday at about 12:30. When he was done we checked out the hotel and where just lazy.
2/19 Thursday, this day started the same as the day before. Greg got done and we headed down to the beach where we ordered lunch and kicked back to read and relax. After a bit we put on our suits and went and played in the ocean and pool for a bit. We did get a bit of sun and where both a bit sore form our playtime in the waves. So after some shopping, we went back to our room for some more room service and a movie.
2/20 Friday: We where up early because we took a boat tour up the Napali Coast. It was great. We saw whales, dolphin and some sea turtles. The ocean got a bit rough and I ended up hanging off the back of the boat for a while but once my stomach was empty I was good for the rest of the trip. We opted not to snorkel as we found out that pregnant women where not allowed on the boat so I decided it was best to stayed covered up. We got back to our hotel took a quick nap and then went to a Luau. We had never been to one and it was really great, with a good show and good food.
2/21 Saturday, We decided after all of our fun on Friday we would just take it easy, so after Greg finished with his conference we and finished up our shopping and headed back for some more time at the beach. Greg rented a body board and hit the waves, while I read a book. That night we hiked down to this great cove area by our hotel and then went to dinner at an all you could eat Crab leg and Prime Rib dinner…YUMMY.
2/22 We slept in and got ready to leave. We managed to get everything to fit into our suitcase which was no small feat. We checked out and had one last meal on the beach before we headed to the airport. We got back into Detroit early Monday morning.
So after all that I am back in cold Ohio and to cereal and PB&J trying to catch up from my week in the sun.

Congratulations on the BOY! So exciting.
And I'm so jealous of your trip to Hawaii. Some friends of ours just offered to let us stay at their house in Maui... so I'm trying to talk Quinten into it.
What a fun trip! So glad you and your hubby could have a nice relaxing getaway.
